Our mission is to produce healthy, humanely-raised, pastured poultry and pork. Our animals are raised outdoors in a safe, comfortable environment that honors their natural instincts. We strive to preserve heritage breeds, be stewards of the land and reinvigorate our local economy. Our priority is to provide our livestock with the highest animal welfare and supply our community with the highest quality meat.

We grow a small flock of slow growing (not Cornish Cross) broiler chickens. Our heritage breed chickens come from breeding stock imported from France. The genetic stock comes from the American and European old heritage breed of chicken that was developed in the 1960′s to meet the highest standards of the French Label Rouge free range program. The Label Rouge standards include that the chickens be free ranging and have a superior level of quality, including taste. Because our chickens are slower growing the meat has a more complex and natural flavor. The longer growing period results in superior, old fashion chicken taste.
Our chickens are pasture raised. They forage on green grass, dandelions, clover and bugs in the sunshine. Our animals are fed only organic feed. Which guarantees that the grains are non-GMO and are raised without pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers. This also means that our animals receive no hormones or antibiotics.
Our chickens are brooded, pastured and slaughtered on the farm. We use low stress and humane slaughtering methods.
Our chicken is available for our customers the same day as slaughter to ensure quality and freshness. Pick up on the farm.
Whole chickens available for $5/lb, averaging 4 1/2 lbs.

Pastured Pork
We are also offering pasture-raised pork. Our pigs are fed certified organic grain, whey and lots of fruits and vegetables. They are raised outside where they can graze, root, and run in the sunshine. We raise Berkshire cross pigs. Berkshire pigs are a heritage breed; their meat is prized for it’s juiciness, flavor and tenderness.

Our pigs are custom slaughtered on site and butchered at Salmon Creek Meats in Mossy Rock, Washington. Salmon Creek Meats is a small, custom butcher shop that uses no nitrates. You can purchase a 1/2 or whole hog at $5/lb hanging weight (which does not include cut and wrap fee). Taking deposits now for Fall–$250 for 1/2 and $500 for whole.
